I want to add new author, but it won't

    So I have a buddy who signed up on my site https://iamjames.co and I have set him to author, but he can’t access the backend to make a post, it just keeps redirecting him to his profile edits. I have looked for the pas hour and cannot find a dang thing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    He signed up using social account, so I tested doing it the normal way, and still no luck. Any help is greatly appreciated. I want to be able to add authors to my site and get them posting right away.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    It was ‘Theme My Login’ that broke it, so I deactivated and will work around it and fix what that took away. thanks man appreciate the help!!
