Unable to access admin panel

I’m having a similar problem since the last version update.

When going to: https://mysite.com/wp-admin/

I get redirected to https://mysite.com/?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fmysite.com%2Fwp-admin%2F&reauth=1

(instead of the to the /login/ page)

I have tried to log into our church’s website yesterday and again today. This appears quite often when I attempt to login.

Finally this afternoon I have been able to locate the dashboard page; however, when I click on a post or something, I receive a blank screen. I cannot deactivate recent plug-ins because I cannot find them — all I have is a blank screen.

I am using Theme Headlines with 8 Widgets and WordPress 3.5.1.

I contacted our website host; he said the problem is with WordPress.

Suggestions for correcting this problem would be greatly appreciated.

The website will work — it is the admin’s dashboard that I cannot use.

I’ve just installed 6.3.5, activated the plugin and went to activate themed profiles. After checking the tick box and saving, went to the themes profiles area. I left the settings in that area of the plug-in as they were and saved.

I can now no longer access my WordPress dashboard. Any URL I try 302 redirects to /your-profile/

I could ftp in and delete the plug in files, but after checking the database I’ve noticed some options set in the wp_options table, so I’m loath to do this. Plus I’d like to use the plug in, I installed it after seeing a recommendation at the PaidMembershipsPro plugin, which I’m also running.

I have WP 3.5.1 with genesis 1.9.2

Did you block yourself out using the “Restrict Admin Access” feature of the Themed Profiles module?

Probably should gather these all up into one post.. however I just wanted to point out that I have the same problem.

Yes, I did use the Restrict Admin Access feature, unfortunately. How do I reverse this? I deleted the files through the cPanel but when I reload the plugin, I do not have an opportunity to change the restriction. Upon activation of the plugin, I am immediately taken to the profile page. Any ideas on how to circumvent this?

Same problem with version 6.3.5

I also tested in a fresh install of wordpress and i have the same problem.

Also the translation doesn’t work in 6.3.5 version.

You’ll need to delete the option theme_my_login_themed_profiles from the wp_options table.

Note:

I noticed this happens when restricting the subscriber role.

In addition to the previous replies in this thread; we have verified that when themed profiles is just updated whether roles are selected, or not; the WordPress admin panel is immediately restricted whether a user role is selected or not.

We have tested this in several different scenarios with each time having to remove theme_my_login_themed_profiles to restore admin functionality to the WordPress Dashboard.

This might seem like a code bug, or restrict parameter error where no matter what options are selected, or unselected in the “Theme My Profile” all users including administrators are restricted from Admin access to the WordPress Dashboard.

Is this on multisite? If so, is it on a sub-blog?

Note: We are only using a single blog on a standalone server.

This issue has been resolved in the development version.
