    I updated the custom slugs from event/ to opportunity/ then tried a number of things to make it work, but no matter what I do, new event posts still end up with event/ as their slug

    1. Refreshed slugs settings after changing custom slugs and tried to post a new event
    2. De-activated plugin, refreshed slugs, re-activated plugin, tried to post a new event

    Any help much appreciated, great plugin ??

  • have you tried re-saving permalink at WP Settings > Permalinks?

    Yea that’s what I mean when I say refreshed slug settings

    hmmm, I tried this and works for me.

    also, how about temporarily disabling other plugins?

    I’ll have a play around with other plugins and maybe try it on a fresh dev install. Thanks for the quick reply btw

    okay, try it again using dev install and default TwentyTwelve theme then activate only EM plugin and give us an update

    Solved. After disabling all plugins it still didn’t work, so I presumed it had to be theme related. Turns out my theme was hijacking the events slug and therefore the rewrites in the plugin were being overridden. Deleted the events custom post associated with the theme, everything works!

    Thanks for the hasty response (may very well buy the pro theme soon)

    glad it worked;
