favorite authors or follow authors

Just as I have plugin favorites, I would like to be able to rate authors who have more than one plugin. I tend to like the work of some authors such as deckerweb. I’d like to be able to rate them overall or tag some of them as favorites or be able to “follow” them to see when they come out with something new or updated.
