• Hi guys,
I’m a total noob to all this and just created my first site.
I searched the forum but all post related to my problem were closed without having a single reply!?

I have 46 pages, all indexed properly by google, and even the pagetitles surprisingly are shown as supposed to. But the description snippets instead of showing the meta description or excerpts of the pages content, show either text from the sidebar or even the main navigation menu.

I have meta tags in the header.php and use the add meta tags 2.2.0 plugin and all the pages have written content. So why would google not use all that data? Please help me out, this is driving me nuts for days now!

    The site is fullspectrumbrutality.com [NSFW]

and a good example search in google is “full spectrum brutality slayer”.

    Thanks a lot in advance!

Only Google can tell you. Use Google Webmaster tools and forums along with Google Help to sort out the issue.
Also try these (in the plugins you have, theme, etc.):
    – check if you have the boxes for description tag filled in
    – check for each post if you have description tags filled in
    – GWT tools generally displays links lacking required parameters. check them out and make corrections.

BTW, this is not a problem directly related to WordPress.

    Good Luck!

Thank you very much for your reply Krishna!

I do have all the description tags filled in and GWT show in total 1 problem. And that’s a missing title tag of a “plugin page” that doesn’t even exist in the first place, and if it would the robots.txt would disallow to crawl it…

Thanks for your advice, I know now where the problem lies and where to look for answers.
