2012 Dashboard: divide post content into sections

  • I’m developing a wordpress dashboard interface for a friend. Is there any way to take the content portion of a single post and break it into multiple sections with their own fixed sub-headings?

    I can do this manually for each post, but it would be great to program this.

    Yes, there’s several possibilities. You could simply insert tags in the content to delimit where the breaks are, much like the <!--more--> tag. You could use custom fields to take entry for each section. You could add meta boxes for more formally defined sections. I believe there is even a way to load the tinyMCE editor into each meta box.
