Reorder Categories

  • Hello.
    How can we reorder categories? I searched, yet could not find a specific solution to this.

  • Using list_cats, you can order by name or ID. So, if ordering by name isn’t getting you what you want, you can order by ID. Just make sure you create your categories in the order you want them to display by id (they can be displayed ascending or descending…)

    I don’t know about empty cats (I can’t read the code), but you can sort cats for display simply by adding spaces to the cat name.
    More spaces = higher up the display
    Ugly ? yes
    Does it work ? Yes
    And if you later add a cat that you want displaying higher than it’s ID, it works too.

    I would like to show the categories to be used as navigation. I could write a sample message for each of them, just seems a bit clunky to do.
