• ShopperPress-based website is not working all of a sudden and the error it shows is:

PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/edelweis/public_html/wp-content/themes/shopperpress/header.php on line 161

I have just installed a Google Analytics verification code in header.php and later removed it. So what error would it be? Any fix is highly appreciated!

Where did you get your theme from?

    @andrew Nevins, I don’t know about it, it’s my client’s

Looks like the code you added to the header.php file messed it up. So you should use FTP to replace that file with a new copy of the header.php file.

We don’t have access to commercial themes, so you’ll need to ask the developer for any additional help.

EDIT – these forums only support themes from the repository on this site so we really have no way to help with a theme-specific problem like that.

Looks like you can find info and support here:

WPyogi, thanks much for your suggestions. I believe that would be the right solution to replace header.php. I have used ftp to upload files. <

1.To replace header.php, Should I first delete it from the website and then upload it?
2.If so, how can I delete it from the edeiweiss2u.com/wp-admin?

Sorry, I understand that it is all a basic question and as am not being a programmer, these seems to be an herculean task for me ??

    Thanks much

The header.php file should be inside the ‘shopperpress’ theme folder:

    wordpress
       wp-content
          themes
             shopperpress
                header.php

Yes you can use FTP or another file manager system to do so.

Hi WPyogi, sorry forgot to say that. Yes, I have replaced the header.php using filezilla. But the header initially was curvy-edges, now it’s of sharp edges. Not sure what would have happened, any idea about it? Just to remind, I don’t know who was working on this site and now only I am taking over the site for seo purpose.

That sounds like you may have CSS errors or that the header.php was modified and that you’ve now eliminated those change. You could check for CSS errors: https://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/

Checking the HTML would be a good idea as well.

Aside from that, I don’t think anyone here has any more specific information about the site or theme.

WPyogi, thanks for the link. I checked with it and it shows 228 errors. Is it something to seriously consider about?

    help!!

I have bought shopperpress and I’m try (failing) to install it into wordpress.

I have removed every theme I was using as well as all plugins so the site is ‘clean’.

Every time I try to view a page/product or anything, I get the following error message:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method WP_Query::is_main_query() in /hermes/bosweb26c/b2809/ipg.findhornonlinecom/wp-content/themes/shopperpress/PPT/framework/ppt.php on line 152

What does it mean and how can I fix it?

I eagerly await your reply as I’m stuck.

    Paul

I should have added that I can get into the dashboard and work on a site in there – it’s only when I try to view it I have the problem

    Thanks Paul

That’s a problem with the shopperpress theme and as noted above, these forums do not support commercial themes – you need to go to wherever you got the theme for help. Sorry.
