Direct link to single entry vieuw

To start: thank you for a great add-on! Your code is poetry.

Is it possible to make a direct link to the single entry view?
I would like to make a button which e.g. sends a name and I would like to get the single entry view that corresponds with that name.

E.g. https://www.example.com/directory/?name=robert
And then get the singe view page with name=”robert”.

Or perhaps I should use a filter to do this?
