removing /date/ in archive permanent link

    Hi,

    I would like to be able to change permanent link /date/2006/03/ to /2006/03/. How can I achieve this pls.

    well, I sorted it out. It seems there is a kindda bug in wp-includes/classes.php
    line 1029, they should be $tok_index++;

    Go to Options | Permalinks

    Custom structure: /%year%/%monthnum%/%postname%/

    thanks johnoz, but I’m worried about the archive pages, not the post.
    Submitted a bug report ??

    Hi, the default permalinks are
    /index.php/2006/06/29/sample-post/
    any idea how to get this without the index.php?
    like this /sample-post/
