500 and T_STRING error on bluehost

I keep getting a 500 error and a “PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home1/…/installer.php on line 133” entry in the error log. The installer.php file appears garbled when I open it. I tried regenerating it several times. The zip file generates successfully.
