how to make the updated responsive feature work.

You have to go into Player Management in WordPress Admin > JW Player and edit your player to select a responsive player size.

@longtail – So, I go my jw-player settings -> select my player -> edit player -> and I configure the width and height as following.

Height : 360 and Width : 620.

I went to the front-end sample post – minimize and maximize the browser – to check if the video has become responsive. But unfortunately no. What am I missing?

FYI – I use a premium theme, which is responsive. I use custom fields to input youtube links and display it in my posts via jwplayer_tag_callback.

You have to upgrade to the latest version of the plugin: 2.1.0.

Please check if this is the version you are using.

if i add playlist with width 180, it doesnt get responsive on mobile.
so on iphone it display, playlist of fixed width whereas player goes responsive.

Ah yes, the playlist itself is not responsive. Only the video area is.

is there any workaround. may be overriding “px” with “%” on playlist width?

There is not. Only the video space is responsive.
