Delete user but keep author on posts

  • Hello I am looking for a plug-in or way to delete a user account but keep all of the post labeled as the deleted user. For example John Doe is leaving but I still want him credited for all of the posts he authored. I do not want to keep his user account however would like the posts to stay unchanged.

  • I’m not sure that’s possible.
    What you can do, if you no longer want him to be able to login is to set up a fake email for him/her so that he/she can no longer login and reset the password.

    Yeah I reset his password and gave him no editing rights. I was just trying to avoid having a bunch of inactive user accounts. Thanks for your input.
