Plugin update wipes WordPress, blank screens everywhere

I have the most recent version of WordPress (Multisite, network).
I ran the update-core to update the plugin and blank screen. Tried every other admin page and blank page. Tried front end, blank page.
Server is still running, no high CPU usage, nothing. Accessing with FTP and renaming the plugin fixes everything.
