• Hi, I’m new to wordpress. I purchased Organic Shop Woo Commerce Theme and when I installed the all in one event theme I cannot see it in Dashboard > plugins. When I tried to install it again it says it’s already installed but I can’t see it. Says it’s in this folder…

Organic Shop Theme says it’s problem with the plug in. Does anyone know how I can get it to show up in the dashboard > plugin area?

Thanks in advance for your help.

  • Deactivate the Organic theme and switch to the default WP theme. Then see if the ai1ec displays properly. If it does, the problem likely lies with the Organic theme.

Hi Dave – I removed the Organic Shop Woo Commerce theme and deleted the plugin then re-installed the plugin and it shows up and works fine. I paid $59 for this Organic Shop theme from Enavato which was made by quitenicestuff.com who claim they offer 24/7 support. It took days and days of them not reading my complaint properly of me re-explaining the issue over and over waiting a day inbetween each time I re-explained the problem and they still did not solve the problem. The support guy Nick kept insisting it’s a problem with the plugin and refused to help me any more and said it was beyond his scope of support for the product. Thank you so much for your help. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM quitenicestuff, it’s quite awful.

Sorry your theme is the culprit, but glad you solved the problem. There is always a potential conflict between: the brand and version of your OS, the version of WP, and the version’s of your theme and plugins. When you think about it, it’s more of a surprise that everything plays well together to the extend they do.

Have you tried getting a refund from the theme people? If they refuse, you might want to consider contacting the BBB in the their location, assuming they are located in the US.

Yes, it’s true amazing when things work together. I’m not a coder but I can see how (free) code and styling may conflict. But, I paid for this thing to work. Is it reasonable to expect something to work when you pay for it? I did send an email to Enavato, where I purchased it but the developer is in the UK. The support person at quitenicestuff would not escalate the issue to someone who could help and he said it’s not likely I’d get a refund because I had already downloaded it. I’ll try and see what happens. Thanks again for your suggestion – why didn’t that support person suggest this? Could have saved me (and him) a lot of time and frustration. I’m so grateful for your support. And, thanks for not making me wait for days and days.

    Thanks for your kind words.

Last thought. If you paid by credit card, you might want to consider contacting your CC company and talk to them about refusing to honor that payment. My CC company had a procedure to protesting a payment. Ex: I ordered some software and paid with my credit card. After downloading the software, it became obvious to me that the software for an illegal copy. I called my CC company and refused the payment: I had to fill out some forms, but the result was that the company (located in Russia) never got paid.
