• I did just that… installed it and I get this error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘}’ in /bkdisk/hsphere/local/home2/larrymll/mywebstuff.net/blog/wp-includes/functions-formatting.php on line 90

I deleted the file and re-downloaded the whole program and then replaced the file.

I made sure my wp-config.php had the proper information. I even changed my password to make sure.

I can re-installed if needed, but I am lost either way.

    Thanks in advance!!!

    Larry

  • Give us a URL and we’ll be better able to help you…

That looks very much like an ftp error that has crept in, and you have done the right thing in deleting and reuploading.

You have replaced the file – it’s worth replacing the directory. Delete the FILES inside the wp-includes directories. Leave the /images and /js directories, just delete the other files and then reupload.

What are you using to upload the files?

Duh, sorry, didn’t realize it was a local install.
