• Hi,

I’ve seen a few posts on this topic, but I have not seen a clear answer.

I have an existing WordPress installation (standard not multisite) where the WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL) are pointing to a non WWW prefixed address like https://my_website.com .

On the site I need to change the URL to default to a www prefixed address like https://www.my_website.com .

What I want clarification on is the steps involved in making the change. From previously posted questions it looks like I may just need to add “www” to the two URL setting in General -Settings.

Can someone please confirm if that is all that’s required, or if there are more steps necessary.
