Probably not plugin-specific this as it’s more about Twitter but as I am using Rotating Tweets across various websites, I’m hoping you might know.

I have got the message ‘Please update your settings for Rotating Tweets. The Twitter API changed in March 2013 and new settings are needed for Rotating Tweets to continue working’.

I have done this on one website but need to do it across five or six now. Do I have to create a new application for each website I have the plugin on, or can I use the same ‘application’ in Twitter for every site.

There is a single rate-limit set for each application so, in theory, if you only used one app setting for a lot of websites they could get rate-limited – but it would have to be a lot.

I’m currently creating a different app for each site – just in case.

When creating the API, you now get the consumer key and consumer secret. The access token en access token secret are provided as URL instead of a code.
When using the possible options it gives an error. How to fix this?

The Access Token and Access Secret should appear as long strings of letters…

Have you clicked on ‘Create My Access Token’ as per https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/rotatingtweets/installation/ ?

    Best wishes,

    Martin
