Search facility not fully working

  • I have installed this plugin on 4paw4adoption.com a site for rehoming animals in Tenerife. I have two problems,
    1) The search facility only works for Status, Category and Gender, it will not search by Age or Size?
    2) The User status of Editor is no difference to Author? I have to set people as admin to see and approve other users posts.
    Can you provide any help or advice to fix these problems
