I have three new websites using Windows Azure hosting. They are all currently set in free mode whilst I develop them. I have installed Jetpack plugin on all three websites but they all fail when attempting to connect to wordpress.com “register_http_request_failed”.

The error displayed is “SSL certificate problem: self signed certificate in certificate chain”

I don’t have an SSL certificate as I have no need for one, is this a setting in Windows Azure hosting causing this. Can anything be done from my end to make it work?
