Override weight of product if specific shipping method is picked

  • I have a situation where perishable items are being shipped fed ex.
    The product weight is augmented with the weight of dry ice.
    If the user ships overnight, the weight is 8.3 pounds.
    But if they ship 2 day air, the weight is 13 pounds.

    It’s the same item, but I need to override the weight of the product if the 2 day air option is picked.

    Any help on how I can use a filter or hook to do this would be appreciated.
