    Appreciate the support!

The plugin is not set up to support Vkontakte as of yet, but Socialite does come packaged with it. I can easily add it to the plugin and have it ready for the next release this weekend.

Hope this helps, appreciate your patience.

Tom, I would highly appreciate if you could add support for VK in your plugin. It’s the largest social network in Russia with more than 43 mln users per day.

Thank you for your quick response too ??

I didn’t realize. I appreciate you keeping me informed on a great social network so I can make sure WPSocialite supports it!

Look for an update this weekend with the added VK plugin.

    ninetienne,

Got your “any updates” post in my email, but it looks like it didn’t show up here. Very odd.

I’ve created the VK.com like plugin for WPsocialite, but I don’t have an apiID or VK.com account to test it with.

I haven’t updated the application within the WPrepo as of yet. I would like you to test it first. Please download this file and unzip it in your wp-content/plugins directory. Obviously I don’t recommend doing this on a live, production site.

    https://sixfoot3.com/wpsocialite-develop.zip

Once installed, navigate to the WPsocialite settings page (WP-Admin>Settings>Discussion). You’ll see the new option for Vkontakte and once checked you will see a space for an apiID. Enter in your apiID and the like button should work.

Please let me know your results and I appreciate your help!

Thanks for your feedback! I will test it and let you know asap.

Tom, I finally checked out your plugin. All is good, except that VK button shows only in the first instance, if there are several button groups in one page. I think it’s because it’s bound to specific ID.

I think I can add your domain to the VK app and give your the app ID, so that you could test it out yourself.

    Any updates?

Thanks for touching base, been in crunch mode for a few weeks now. I’m spending today updating the plugin and answering all questions.

Greatly appreciate the help in testing. Stumbleupon and the VK like button both seem to be only loading one instance. I’m going to sign up for a VK account and start testing there.

I’ll hopefully get an update for VK pushed out tomorrow. If it looks like I’ll miss my mark I’ll update you here.

Unfortunately I can’t seem to find the error on why the VK or Stumbleupon buttons are loading twice. Wanted to give you a quick update that I’m still hard at work, but an update today doesn’t seem likely.

Also please don’t hesitate to take a look at the code yourself and see if you can find it. The more minds on the problem, the better! The code is hosted on Github here: https://github.com/tmort/wpsocialite

Hey Tom, thanks for the feedback. Sorry for my late response. Unfortunately my skills are not good enough to sort out the problem, however I’m always ready to help you to register VK application or test your plugin.
Would be great if VK support could be implemented. WPSocialite is one of the essential WP plugins.

That would be great if you could register a VK application for me.

You can use the domain name twmorton.com if they need one. You can also visit that site and head to the contact page to email me the VK information.

    Appreciate your help!

    Hey Tom,

Did you have a chance to test it?

    Thanks
