  • I really like the flash part up top… color scheme is nice, even though I’m not partial to dark themes myself. It fits for the topic in this case though, and is well done.

Thanks. The past few sites I’ve done have all been white/light grey’s for the most part, so I wanted to change it up with a darker tone; and like you said, I felt it works because of the racing theme.

    Thanks again.

Nifty. Good colors, like the nav buttons. In your sidebar “listening to” (not sure how that’s related to your racing topic, but… looks cool w/ the album covers, how are you doing that?). Also the edgy large font on “11 days til…” next event, looks cool.

Cool, thanks for the feedback. The music bit is just to give more info on my taste in music. Nothing more than that really (for those who even care). ?? It’s really simple actually. I have CSS handle the borders, and the thumbnails are actually just pulled from Amazon directly. I can resize them to thumbnail size and not have to crop any images, which is nice.

The countdown and red headers at the top of each page are actually Flash, but are displayed as text (using sIFR) which works out really well. It degrades to basic text if you don’t have Flash, but displays with a specific font if you do.

That’s a great looking site you have there. Great use of colours and type. Cheers.
