Woo Commerce Orders Stuck in 'On Hold' Status

Why are my orders stuck in ‘On Hold’ status when I have PayPal confirmation that the orders have been paid for?
This is causing me huge headaches with inventory because when I manually change an order from ‘On-Hold’ to ‘Processing’, my inventory does not automatically decrease the way it normally does.
Please help as soon as possible? I am new to managing a web site so I will need the ‘For Dummies’ version of the fix ??
