• Hi, I just started a second wordpress blog,

    https://rimoms.com

I was able to log in and set the password as the admin, but then when I tried to write a post, I could not — it said I would have to be moved up a level by the admin, but I am the admin. Can someone help with this? Thanks!

Could this possibly be because I changed the password? My password was set initially by my server which provided the copy of WordPress, but that password did not work for some reason so I went thru the process of changing the password.

It shouldn’t be ….. but go to the user table and check the user_level – make sure it is 10.
    This might help:

Thanks, podz. Where is the user table?

I have a thing for user status which I changed from 1 to 10, but nothing changed when I tried to log in to the site admin

I did find the user table in the database and changed the user status to 10 for me as the one and only user, but it did not give me access to the full dashboard.

I tried deleting the wordpress and reinstalling but this did not change anything.

Should I just download another copy of wordpress and upload it to my server?

I have opened a help ticket with my server to identify if the problem lies with them. I would appreciate any feedback about what might be holding up my ability to be recognized as the site administrator.
