    Thanks for a great plugin!!

I’m having problems with long events that are current.

    1. I would like to use is_future conditional to highlight current events (long events that have started but have not ended yet) but of course it doesn’t work with events that have already started. Is there a conditional for ongoing events or how could I create one? I haven’t managed yet.

    2. I would like to keep registration open for long events that are still open but i’m not able to do that because event has already started even my booking has not yet ended. Is it possible to keep booking open even the event has started.

I have set ” Are current events past” -> “No” in settings.

Thanks for any help! If you can point me to right direction with this, I would be very pleased ??

  • Hi,

    Glad you’re enjoying the plugin.

Here’s a tutorial on creating custom conditional placeholders:
    https://wp-events-plugin.com/tutorials/creating-conditional-placeholders-for-events/

You can set the booking cut off date and time with the Booking Cut-Off Date option on the Event page in WP admin.

Thank! So I guess I need to target events that have passed starting day but not yet ending time.

About the booking cut off day, I’m not sure what’s wrong with my settings but the booking cut-off date doesn’t work if the event has already started because the event date overrides it and closes the booking.

It may be that your tickets have end dates too, the event cut-off date doesn’t apply to tickets that have an end date earlier than the event cut-off date.

Okey, it was that simple, i didn’t notice that you can override the default event starting date with the booking cut off date in ticket options.

And I also found out that there’s already a condition is_current so everything works just perfect!
