• My default browser is firefox (latest release) and when I log into my wp admin panel to edit pages, it is very slow. By that I mean if I put the cursor on a row it won’t show up for a minute. Its a little bit better if I edit in fullscreen mode, but not much. I may be halfway down a page of code and it jumps back to the top every time I update. And there’s a delay when I hit enter. Its also kind of slow to save when updating. What can I do to make it faster?

I also tried working in the admin area using IE 8 and there’s not much difference.

  • Sounds like it may be a server problem – but have you tried deactivating all plugins and switching to the default theme in case any of those may be causing delays.

Sorry for the delay…. I got busy on other projects. but I did try deactivating my plugins and its still the same. If I place my cursor inside the writing box there is always a delay. Now for example, THIS writing box on this forum does not delay at all. Its only within my wp dashboard. I don’t think there’s a problem on my server because the pages of my website come up normally, just as fast as any other page (like this one for example).

I’ve been doing a lot of editing on the site lately and its really annoying.
