Remove Leave a Reply area

Have you tried to edit the options under ‘Settings -> ‘Discussions’ for comments? That’s always a good place to start.

Everything is unchecked in that section.
That was the first thing i read about it so i already did that.

The “Leave a Reply” is in default comment_form() template.

Most themes just call it like so. Assuming your theme is doing this too, these steps below will disable all the comment things.

1. NOT allow comment site wide under Settings > Discussion
2. Do the same thing under each post/page editing screen.
3. In child theme style.css or Custom CSS plugin use this

#comments { display:none; }

okeee thanks but now it shows. “Comments are closed” can i remove that to ??

I might be wrong, but it is impossible that the text “Comments are closed” will still be shown when all the steps above is done.

The text “nocomments” appears only 1 hit in 1 file which is the comments.php.

So it’s very weird that when #comments is given display:none, and the text inside it still appears.
