Missing Upload Files and Media Library tabs on Insert Media

    When I go to use the Add Media button, it does not respond on the first click, but on the second click it shows the Insert Media screen minus the Upload Files and Media Library tabs.

    Hopefully this will help get a response. I loaded Mozilla Firefox and when using it, the problem is not apparent. I can see my picture gallery and am able to insert new pictures. I suspect an issue in Internet Explorer that came as the result of an update. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I would rather use Internet Explorer, as Firefox seems to run very slowly.

    I am having the exact same problem – click on add media and the pop up media download window opens but is empty. I have pictures in my media library but they do not show when I click the add media button when writing posts.
    I did not find in the link you suggested.

    After going thru the IE settings, I found Compatibility View checked under the Tools heading. I unchecked it and the problem went away. It looks like a recent update to IE actually set this parameter to an incorrect default, along with modifying some of the privacy settings I had established previously. Based on what I found, I will never use IE again.

    where on the dashboard is the IE setting at? I cant seem to find it

    On my version (update version 10.0.6) it is under Tools
