Will this plugin work with a commercial theme?

Hi there. I am new to WordPress and developing my site. I would like to use the following theme:

but my one drawback is whether or not I will be able to pin individual photos on this blog.

I researched and found this plugin.

But, I have no idea whether or not it will work. The designer did not offer much help on this. Has anyone done a similar thing in the past? Any help or insight is much appreciated. No, I have not purchased the theme yet – this is my one hang-up. Pinterest is essential for me.
