• i was having a theme downloading/installing frenzy, and having a lot of fun. the last thing i remember was uploading wp-db-backup.php and things got really weird.

my admin panel suddenly changed back to the default layout (i had been using wp tiger admin) and all my plugins and themes were gone.. (WHAT?!?!) then i checked my ftp, everything looked in tact, all my plugin and theme files were there.

a few minutes later my ftp looks like this:
    https://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e34/suyeonoh/GAH.gif

everything from the index directory somehow also ended up in /wp-content. and it was untouchable, i would click on something inside /wp-content, and would give me an error. i deleted everything i could, got random errors, went crazy, stomped my foot and huffed away.

i relogged onto ftp and found that everything had been successfully deleted except for /wp-content/fgallery/family/ and the 4 images inside. when i try to delete any of the 4 images i get a ‘permission denied’ error.

this is not perhaps a wordpress support question persay, but i definitely need major help.

(and i’m not even a rookie at wordpress! T_T)

  • Contact your server administrator. My guess is that you exceeded your quota and permissions got screwy on some of the files.

huh, no way. there’s no way i could have exceeded 80mb. all i had.. was a blog! i think i used maybe 50mb when i used to have a full fledged domain with 2 hostees and tons and tons and TONS of pictures with tons and tons and TONS of images (b/c i had lots and lots of skins) so yeah..

but i gave up anyway ?? just asked my host to delete everything, including my database tables, and just started all over again. *sigh*
