Live Writer/Page Formatting Questions

I keep using live writer – because it formats my text in a reasonable way (I don’t need to put one-liners in a “pre-formatted” box not to be paragraphed, at which point, the text goes odd)
However, now and then, when importing the page, the background colour of the page is changed to black see: https://deardot.com/

I want a black background to the page, but for the actual page to be white – but can seen no way of ensuring that
I have fire bug – when I look at the HTML code, it gives me a style option on the right, which enables me to turn the whole page white – but even that isn’t permanent

Might someone suggest how I can use live writer, but still control the page colour please?
