• I have a Kodakgallery.co.uk account. Its a great service. Its free and you can upload as many photos as you want – yes unlimited. I have checked this with Kodak and they say there are no limits. And I have tested that too.

I would use flickr but there is a 20MB bandwidth limit. I would use plogger.com but the limit is 5Mb. I have Gb’s of photos that I want to “gallirise”. I have my own web hosting so thats not going to be a problem.

    Anyone got any ideas?

    Thanks

  • most ‘print’ gallery sites will only let you grab thumbnail (not-print-res) versions of the pictures you’ve uploaded. they do not intend to act as free image hosting and download services, not in the slightest.

I don’t see any reference to Ofoto (now Kodak Gallery) having any API for accessing thumbnails remotely. You should host images yourself if you really want your own gallery and use your hosting limits, or find a free hosting service that will do the job (just remember nothing is truly ‘free’…).

OK. Thanks for that. I think I will just go down the route of hosting it myself. Know any good code that will fit into any theme and to what I want. Nothing fancy. Dont need it to have comments or anything like that.

just search for ‘gallery’ or ‘photo’ around here. there’s literally more than a dozen…
