• Running the latest version of the plugin on a LEMP set up (which works fine for pretty much everything else, including WordPress SEO). This plugin installs and seems to be operational, however nothing is happening with respect to creating the robots.txt files. I’ve followed the FAQs in an attempt to troubleshoot, but nothing seems to affect positive change.

    Is there specific code inside which might prevent my hosting setup from allowing the plugin to operate properly?

    Thanks for your time.

    James.

    I’m having the same problem, I have it setup with my php settings on server to SuPHP and whenever I make a change to the robots.txt file and do an update nothing changes.

    I’am operating on dedicated server with NGINX/VARNISH and this code in nginx.conf (included into server block of my main nginx config for site i’am working on) seems to do the trick.

    # Robots.txt
    rewrite ^/robots\.txt$ /index.php?robots=1 last;
    # Robots.txt
