    Hi Everyone.

First, I apologise for another “406 error-type post.” I promise that I have looked everywhere and I cannot find a solution for my problem but I simply don’t know enough about the issue to solve it on my own.

    To begin:

    – I have been using WordPress combined with Jetpack for as long as Jetpack has existed and I have never had this trouble before.

    – I originally had WP installed on a subdomain but I wanted to move it to my root directory to make it cleaner.

    – I followed all the necessary steps to move your dB, blog, etc. When I went to active Jetpack, it asked me whether or not I wanted to authorize or deny, of course I authorized it.

    – That’s when I got my “406 error:”

    Not Acceptable

An appropriate representation of the requested resource /wp-admin/admin.php could not be found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

There it is in all it’s ugliness.

    Anyway,

    – I deleted everything, thinking I’d made an error. Then I re-installed and I still got that error when I tried to authorize Jetpack.

    – Interestingly, Jetpack was still working on my subdomain without any issues.

    – I thought maybe it would work on another subdomain. I had another blog on another subdomain that didn’t have Jetpack, so I added Jetpack to that WP blog– I GOT THE SAME 406 ERROR!!

    – Long story short, I’m at the end of my rope with this. I have read some about mod_security and editing .htaccess files and I admit that I don’t know enough about these things to feel I can do this on my own. So, any and all help is much appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help.
