  • it’s a decent theme – i just wish it worked in all screen resolutions… not just 1024.

I have to ditto ladydelaluna. It’s very slick and very clean but not very flexible for other resolutions. For example, my work and home computers are on 2 different resolutions.

And I have two screens on my setup PLUS a laptop – three different resolutions, only one of which is 1024.

The best way to do a 3 column blog and have it work in most resolutions without scrolling, is to work to a 750 or so size for all 3 columns.

In other words, a 180 pixel left sidebar then a 450 main centre column, and 120 pixel right column sidebar.

You’ll still have people scrolling on a small 640 resolution screen or lower, but thats the way it goes.

To make the third column you take away some of the main and the sidebar from the Css, and add another div for the extra sidebar.

Its still a nice design though and I’m sure you’ll do an even better one if you bear in mind the 750 pixel rule, which I use with WordPress theme designs.

LiverpoolLad – I respectfully disagree, though I see your directives as valid.

In my opinion, the best way to do a 3 column blog that works in all resolutions is to make the center column fluid and the widths of the sidebars absolute… This way, you get a “full screen” on every resolution.

See the theme WP-Andreas09 (used on my business site, anubismarketing.com, though heavily modified) to see what I mean… check that site out in both 800 and 1024…
