Create Media Server using AWS

  • Hi there,

    Could you please post detailed instruction on how to create and run ClouSE using AWS. (Most people don’t have the luxury of having root access or ability to install ClouSE on a shared hosting)
    Detailed instruction (step by step if it is possible please) on how to create a Media Server to run ClouSE using AWS would be a great help.
    I’m trying to install WP2Cloud and I’m stuck at this step. For most people, this will be a big turn off for them.

    Check out this post for detailed instructions for setting up and configuring a Media Server.

    Hi – I have the instance setup and was able to follow the direction here: https://s3.amazonaws.com/oblaksoft/oQAxEnOC2TF1/clouse-ami-instructions.htm until the following steps:

    – To finish ClouSE configuration the clouse_cloud_data_url and clouse_cloud_auth_key options must be specified in the /etc/my.cnf file. The /etc/my.cnf file has a brief description of ClouSE configuration syntax.

    – After the configuration options are specified the MySQL server must be restarted using the sudo /etc/init.d/mysql restart command.

    I’m connected to the instance via SSH, but I’m totally lost where and what to do with the steps listed above…?

    Thank you for trying ClouSE!

    Once you’ve logged into the instance using SSH, you can edit /etc/my.cnf using the following command:

    sudo nano /etc/my.cnf

    Navigate down the file until you locate the commented out clouse_cloud_data_url option, remove the # sign in front of the option and edit the value to match your bucket. Then locate clouse_cloud_auth_key option, remove the # sign and edit the value to match your access & secret keys (separated by colon).
