Can access wp-admin, but not the site

  • Hi all. I’m a newb.

    I just installed wordpress locally using MAMP. I can access my dashboard (localhost:8888/wp-admin) but I can’t access localhost:8888 (the web site) in my browser. I can create a page, but when I try to view it I get an error saying the link is broken (Chrome). The servers are running in MAMP.

    Any advice please?
