Weird redirect issue

    I go to https://www.mysite.com/wp-login.php and login. If the pass is wrong, I get the ERROR message. If it’s right, I click and it brings me to the same page but now it is BLANK. I am technically logged in, so I go to my site and click Site Admin in the Meta section. Now I’m in.

    I fear users will have the same issue. I’m wondering if it is

    a) Settings >> General >> both URLs are https://www.mysite.com, or

    b) A plugin. All that is active are: AntiVirus, bbPress, bbSignature, Members, Tehnik BBPress Permissions,Under Construction, WP-Ban,, WP-Security Scan, or.

    c) Something else

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    Thank you. My blog guru deactivated Links Manager. — which wasn’t working anyway –and that fixed it
