Brand new today to Events Manager. Still wrapping my head around it so please forgive me if these are dumb questions.

I didn’t like having a login page on the events page so I turned that off by choosing YES at Enable No-User Booking Mode. But now I’m wondering if logging into WP is required in order to book? I have Allow Guest Bookings set to NO also, is that incorrect?

Where/how do I edit the booking form which seems simplistic? All it has is Spaces and Comment. Or do I need Pro to have a full registration form? Or does that info come from the WP user registration?

sigh…feeling dumb now. Hope you can help.

if you dont want to login to book then try this steps:

    1. enable No-User Booking Mode at Events > Settings > Bookings > No-User Booking Mode =Yes

    2. on the same settings page, you can also enable Allow bookings with registered emails

    3. on the same settings page, assign a Dummy user at Assign bookings to
    * This should be a subscriber user you do not use to log in with yourself.

    4. enable Allow Guest Bookings =yes

    5. to hide the login form, Events > Settings > Bookings > Booking Form Options > Display login form =yes

and then about Where/how do I edit the booking form which seems simplistic? you can customize booking form using EMPro – https://wp-events-plugin.com/documentation/custom-booking-forms/

Thank you so much. I’ll try these steps. And yes, I gathered I must buy the Pro version to get more on the form.

Can you help me to understand the advantage of having users registered in WP? Is that what let’s me track who is registered? It just seemed cumbersome to me but maybe I didn’t understand how it worked. The login was so visible too.

The benefits of having user accounts is that users can come back to your site and log in to view their booking details, cancel bookings and so on.

This quick tutorial might help explain the differences too:
