    Hi cdevenney,

All you should need to do for the simplest solution is to upload all of the word documents to the page that you want these documents included, then paste the following code where you want the icons to appear: [document-gallery].

You can find more advanced configuration options under the installation tab.

    All the best!

    Dear Mr. Rossiter,

I have a similar question but I am certain you have already covered this. I just cannot find the answer.

I am indexing club newsletters for my Rotary Club. They are printed every week so we have a ton of *.PDF’s currently organized into sub-folder by year. I know I can use ID to place documents into the right section of one page. My intention is to place the contents of each folder (sub to document-gallery) so I can simply drop new newsletters into the sub-folder.

Can I change the path of the default directories to route the proper posts to the correct section of the page? I actually see a way to edit the path but not allow for multiple default paths.

Also, I cannot see my PDFs. I try to upload using the Gallery upload utility but they disappear as soon as I upload them . So I tried simply copying the files into the document-gallery folder. That didn’t work either.

How do I actually get these PDF’s into the gallery so I know the ID #?

    Hi Jon,

Because this plugin is designed with portability in mind, it relies solely on systems built into the WordPress core in order to populate various document galleries. Unfortunately, because WP doesn’t recognize special directories, documents within them would not be visible to the plugin.

That said, a user just recommended allowing selection of documents by category or tag, which would likely meet your needs quite well. Although this feature is not yet implemented, it should be released relatively soon (contingent on paid work and other commitments).

    All the best,
    Dan
