  • Can you replicate the issue using the original Twenty Eleven theme?

    I’ve activated the original theme and it does the same. Even if I change the image ID’s to all the same numbers, it shows the original images attached to the post.

    For instance:
    [gallery ids="3530,3529,3531"]

    change to

    [gallery ids="3531,3531,3531"]

    It keeps on showing the three linked images to the post, in the same order.

    What version of WordPress are you using?
    What unedited version of Twenty Eleven are you using?

    Always include as much information as possible

    i’m using wp version 3.5.1.

    The unedited version of TwentyTen (not eleven, my mistake) is 1.2

    The jQuery is linked to:

    <script type=’text/javascript’ src=”https://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.10.1.min.js”></script&gt;
    <script type=’text/javascript’ src=”https://code.jquery.com/jquery-migrate-1.2.1.min.js”></script&gt;

    Neither of these lines is being added by WordPress itself or the original Twenty Ten theme. So I assume you added them, yes?

    yes, the jQuery i’ve changed yesterday. I thought that could be the solution.

    No – that is only going to add to the confusion. Can you replicate the problem using the default Twenty Twelve theme with all plugins deactivated?

    Thread Starter MartinLeclercq

    I’ve activated Twenty Twelve, and de-activated all plugins. After that started activating the plug ins one by one.

    The problem is gone when I use Twenty Twelve and deactivated my plugin slideshow ‘Magic Slideshow’

    Leaving Magic Slideshow inactive, what happens if you switch back to your original theme?

    then I can rearrange the images by changing the numbers of the image ID’s in:
    [gallery ids="3530,3529,3531"]
    That function works.

    I cannot rearrange the images by drag and drop.
    That doesn’t work.

    That function works.

    So it would seem that the Magic Slideshow plugin was the problem, yes?

    I cannot rearrange the images by drag and drop.

    That only works whilst you are creating the gallery. Not after it has been created and inserted.

    Yes, that’s correct.

    That only works whilst you are creating the gallery. Not after it has been created and inserted.

    No, also when creating a new gallery it doesn’t work.

    No, that function also doesn’t work when I create a new gallery.

    Is this before or after you click the “Create Gallery” button?

    before of after doesn’t make a difference.
