Yes, I changed them, the D:\Hosting\ refers to what GoDdaddy told me to use, I didnt write the full path because I dont know if that is safe to write in public?

I used WP Migrate DB to change all links

You may temporarily change permission to 777 and try.

Also, note that the link quoted by you also speaks of the weird thing that this problem does not occur with all hosts/servers.

OK, I am going to change to 777 just to upload one file to see if it works, and then see where to go from there…

I called GoDaddy but the “expert” I talked to didnt know, just referred me to WP.

changed the “Uploads” folder to 777, didnt work either!

So changing that back for safety.

I want to:

Change the group ownership of the uploads folder to the same group that the webserver (apache) belongs to…

Supposedly this will help me fix an upload error. But how do I do this?

Deactivate all plugins, revert to Twenty Twelve theme and try to upload the image.

Please keep the default theme and plugins off as I have to check what is wrong.

Which browser are you using? Can you use another browser and try to upload an image?
