    Hi
I just downloaded and installed the theme Untitled on my page https://postproductionalliance.net
Unfortunately, I cant get the front page slider to show up.
I’ve tried to follow instructions as best I can that are listed on the wordpress.com page, but I am guessing they do not apply for the www.ads-software.com installation to the T.

What must I be doing wrong?
    Someone, please help!

    Thanks in advance

  • Yes that’s correct that .COM and .ORG are not identical, so following .COM documentation may not work. Since that theme isn’t available here – https://www.ads-software.com/themes/ – support here may be limited.

    Ouchies!
So there’s not much I can do to get it to work?
I downloaded it from a page that hosted it as the top 75 wordpress themes of 2013 ??
    Oh well.
Would you know where I need to be looking in case I want to try and attempt to fix it? I am getting the full width thing to load up on the individual post pages, but not as a slider on the front page.

Look at which template is being used for the home page – may not be the same as the post pages.

We also don’t recommend downloading themes from “other” places – don’t know if that’s a problem in this case, just in general…

@mithun.dsouza I see that you already changed themes. The Untitled theme does require the Jetpack plugin in order for the slider to work. The included read me file explains the setup.

    Hey @blackthemes
    Thanks for responding.
I changed themes cause I was told that the Untitled theme (although by Automattic) wasnt officially available on the www.ads-software.com page and that I should probably get one that is officially supported.

In any case, I am totally going to go through the read me.
This is one of those moments that I didnt realise earlier cause I just uploaded the ZIP directly to my wordpress page. I didnt even know or realize there was a readme.

Going through the README right now and resetting my theme back to Untitled which is extremely cool in my opinion and serves my page very aptly for sharing the info that I intend to.

    Cheers ??

@blankthemes – that’s great to know here – several people have asked about using Untitled on a self-hosted site.

@blackthemes – seriously buddy, thanks so much.
Got it to work like a breeze at first attempt.
Reminds me of the days when I used to tell people to RTFM, but oh well ??

    Cheers

@mithun.dsouza Awesome. Glad you got it to work!

    Hi all,

I am new to wordpress and would really appreciate your help on a problem.

I have installed the untitled theme on my website https://thefancyvoyager.com/

As you all have rightly mentioned above, the front page slider only works if Jetpack is activated. However, after activating Jetpack, my published posts are not showing up on the front page. If I were to deactivate Jetpack, my published posts will show up on the front page, but the front page slider will be missing. I have checked the ‘Front page displays – Your latest posts’ radio button on Settings>Reading. All posts are also non-sticky.

I’ve been looking through the forums for a really long time and I cant find any remedy. Please help me!

    Thanks!

@thefancyvoyager, you can post that on your own thread.

@andrew – Sorry about that, thought I could post it here since my post was related.

    Thanks!

I love the look of the large featured image directly under the nav bar. BUT, I would like to disable the flexslider functionality. I would like to just have it as a header image almost and not a clickable link. Is there a way to do this?
