Words with "Acute accent"

Trying some things to fix. I’ve got activity fixed but blog posts are still messed up on accents.

btw, do You have a release date to buddymobile app and are you considering keep the buddymobile theme? just as facebook for those who don’t want to install another app.

Should be fixed in all now.

BuddyMobile will still be developed. But there will be an app that is a WordPress plugin. That plugin will have a BuddyPress add on.

This is a report for your last update:

1. The hashtags with acute accent are being displayed ok, no longer cutted. Thanks!

2. Hashtags are not working at all. I can see You changed the URL from the personal activity to swa but with the name activity and not with the slug. You can se it here.

3.Hashtags in blog are causing and issue with some words started with #. I had to disable the plugin for this pages. You can see it here and this is how it should look.

4. I thougth hashtags in comments was not working but the problem was the same in point 2. You can see it here.

I’m not sure, It could be your theme or another plugin messing it up. You have BuddyPress components nested under red-social and doing that can cause problems. I tested on a few different themes and had no problem. Also it could be a language issue.

You’ll have to do some testing with different themes and move BuddyPress components to under the site url.

Is something strange because I‘ve made not any change neither in themes or plugins. the issue with the url was after this update. I‘ll try to install the last version and see if that works amd will tell You.

I had to make any change because I came back to 1.02 and the issue remains. Deactivate all the plugins but buddypress and hashbuddy, change to bp default theme and the issue remains.

I’ll updte this topic when I found the error.

I tried again but with 1.1 and works. As I can see, since 1.2 You added this line:

$activity_url = trailingslashit( get_bloginfo('url') ) . BP_ACTIVITY_SLUG;

And also in this line, You call activity_url

$content = preg_replace( $pattern, ' <a href="' . <strong>$activity_url</strong> . '/?s=%23' . htmlspecialchars( $hashtag ) . '" rel="nofollow" class="hashtag" id="' . htmlspecialchars( $hashtag ) . '">#'. htmlspecialchars( $hashtag ) .'</a>', $content );

But in 1.1 You don’t

$content = preg_replace( $pattern, ' <a href="?hash=' . htmlspecialchars( $hashtag ) . '" rel="nofollow" class="hashtag" id="' . htmlspecialchars( $hashtag ) . '">#'. htmlspecialchars( $hashtag ) .'</a>', $content );

And that line is causing the issue. Any idea?

Works in BuddyPress Activities, but not in posts with comments – by clicking on the link a blank page..
