Image in excerpt on home page is different from image on post!

If you have checked that all the images are referencing the same jpg. then all I can suggest is that WP loads three different sizes of picture – thumb, medium and full size. It could be that the middle-sized one has a different picture. I’d go into uploads and check the actual images at all sizes for consistency.

As to why – no idea!

Otherwise in the absence of a better answer – would suggest you create two new duplicate blogs, and copy the text across, then insert the images, and then trash the old ones.

If the problem doesn’t re-occur then it was with the posts, and bar some academic interest you can ignore it.

If it does re-occur, then try with some different images in the same post to see if it is a post or picture problem.
