Help with Forever Slider – I've read & tried everything.

I’ve read over a dozen posts asking similar questions but none of them has led me to how to do this. My site is PathsUnwritten.com

I have created a new static homepage and moved the blog to a secondary page. I have 3 posts marked as Sticky and each has a featured images, including 1 with dimensions exactly 888px x 355px.

Still no options for a slider or of one automatically popping up. I’m out of ideas.

Also, I am curious how you make the featured posts under the slider, similar to https://www.elpanaderocasero.com/
