My unoriginal hacked design

  • dontodd: Mighty fine site and welcome to WprdPress. I have had a look at your
    index and css and this is no big deal. I would be inclined to mark up my sidebar and content as divs not classes. If you then float both divs left you can put the content first. There is erratic implementation of float in IE so I also add display: inline to both divs. Yes I know it is a hack but it works with a minimum of fuss. and it won’t disturb the validators. HTH ??

    In Advant the second news item appears way down below the naviagtion table.

    I imagine the reason the post is so far down on the page has to do with the either the image being too wide to fit with the class or your margin/padding may need some adjusting. I have a a site with several boxes within boxes (to support a fixed-though fluid vertically, centered design). I know that when I set up my content and navigation boxes, I had to do a IE Hack as well as adjust them a couple of times, so that they aligned up side by side.
    BTW … I have to agree that I think divs would be better than classes IMHO.
