Posts carousel for pages in Aqua theme

  • I am trying to get Post Items Carousel to show 5 specific PAGES. I do NOT want to use the Portfolio or Service post types (I don’t care for the portfolio/service layouts, nor do I care to hack the templates to make them better). The Aqua Theme documentation says to use category_slug=”” for filtering items to the carousel, so I added a plugin to allow categories and tags within my pages. The 5 pages I want included are in the category “Main” for which the category_slug is “main”. Alas, I have tried everything I can think of with the parameters and nothing is working. Here is what is not working:

    The category_slug=”main” parameter is being ignored – I can’t find a way to isolate and include 5 specific pages while excluding all others.

  • was just worrying about the same thing…
    still developing, but think I’m going to add an extra category for just the posts I want to show. Guessing this will mess up the filterable portfolio page though.
