W3 Total Cache and CloudFlare – emergency
-
I enabled RailGun and Cloudflare through my hosting company. During the setup process I was able to set 4 specific pages to cache in W3TC. W3TC created separate directories of those specific pages.
After enabling CloudFlare my website slowed down to a crawl. From a TTFB of 130 ms and average page load of 3 seconds it went to TTFB of 7 seconds and average page load of 26 – 32 seconds per page. I disabled CloadFlare both at the host side and in W3TC.
Now I am having some major issues and don’t know how to fix them. I am getting “access deny errors” on the static pages I requested W3TC to create. How do I overcome this? Traffic to my site has dropped by more than 75% due to the exclusion of these pages.
I also notice now that access now is denied to many of the bots to robots.txt
